# Rename a channel

A channel's name can be in any language, and can include spaces, punctuation,
and Unicode emoji.

1. Select a channel.

1. Click the **pencil** (<i class="fa fa-pencil"></i>) icon
   to the right of the channel name, and enter a new channel name.

1. Tap **Channel settings**.

1. Tap **Edit channel**, and enter a new channel name.
