# Change your email address

By default, anyone can change their email address at any time.

Organization administrators can
[restrict users to certain email domains](/help/restrict-account-creation#configuring-email-domain-restrictions), or
[prevent users from changing their email](/help/restrict-name-and-email-changes).

## Change your email address

1. Under **Account**, click on the **pencil** (<i class="fa fa-pencil"></i>)
   to the right of your current email. If you do not see the **pencil**
   (<i class="fa fa-pencil"></i>), you do not have permission to change
   your email address.

1. Enter your new email, and click **Change**.

1. You will receive a confirmation email within a few minutes. Open it,
   and click **Confirm email change**.
